Install SuperDL and save your first video
SuperDL is built around Apple Shortcuts. The Shortcut sends an allowed public post URL to the resolver, receives direct media choices, and lets your device download the selected file.
- Open the SuperDL Shortcut link on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
- Add the Shortcut to Apple Shortcuts.
- Open X, Bluesky, or a supported Mastodon app, find a public post with video that you are allowed to save, and tap Share.
- Choose SuperDL, pick a quality, and approve saving to Photos.
Get the installation link
Open the SuperDL installation page and request the iCloud Shortcut link by email. Open that link on the device where you want to use SuperDL and review the actions before adding it.
Try one public video post
Use a video you own or have permission to save. If SuperDL does not appear in the share sheet, copy the post link and run the Shortcut from Apple Shortcuts. If it still fails, use the troubleshooting guide.
Before you begin
Use public X/Twitter, Bluesky, or supported Mastodon post URLs for media you own, have permission to download, or are otherwise legally allowed to save. Private posts, deleted posts, profile pages, and search pages are not downloadable.
