SUPER DOWNLOAD
A small tool for keeping videos close.
SuperDL helps you save public social videos to your device. Use the web tools for an occasional download, or add the free iPhone Shortcut to save supported videos to Photos from your share sheet.
It is useful for keeping your own published clips, saving a collaborator’s video with permission, or collecting media you have the right to use for a project. Public availability alone does not give permission to reuse someone else’s work.
Two ways to use SuperDL
- In your browser: paste an individual post link, open an available media result, and save it using your browser.
- On iPhone: install the SuperDL Shortcut once, share a supported post to it, choose a video option, and save to Photos.
Your device downloads the video
SuperDL reads the submitted post link and looks for supported direct media URLs. Your browser or Shortcut then downloads the selected file from the media host. SuperDL does not store, proxy, or transcode the video.
This does not mean no information is processed: the service processes post URLs and request metadata, and requesting an installation email stores delivery and abuse-prevention information. The privacy page explains those details.
Support depends on the post and platform
- X / Twitter: supported public video post links, including older Twitter status URLs.
- Bluesky: public post links with supported direct MP4 media.
- Mastodon: public posts on mastodon.social, fosstodon.org, and mstdn.social, with media on supported hosts.
Private or deleted posts, missing media, expired URLs, and platform changes can prevent a download. Available quality comes from the source; SuperDL does not create higher resolutions. The help center explains what to check.

SuperDL publishes the guides on this site and handles product questions through support@superdl.app. Article bylines show publication and update dates. For a correction or broken workflow, include the page or public post URL, device type, and the step that failed so the issue can be investigated.
